Okay, but something I DON'T miss from my LJ days: elite communities. I think I once managed to get into one, and it felt good to finally do it, but even back then the whole concept bothered me, and it bothers me even more today.
They were icon communities made by really good iconmakers, and people had to send in applications to become a member, You know, be considered part of an elite group of iconmakers.
Oh , I remember now ! :D I sent applications in some of them but didn't get accepted ! :D But it was 10 years back and tbh , my iconing skills were pretty ehh.. but it still sucked to get rejected nonetheless !
Yeah, it was always a punch to the get. Even after I got into one (don't remember the name of it to save my life), I still felt inferior to everyone, so I never participated much...
